Production Standards

The other day I went to Forever 21 in order to find an outfit for a special dinner. I figured this would be a perfect time to also work on this assignment. I was between a dress and an elegant top for the event. I came down to my favorite item which was a silky burgundy top that ties across the body. I made sure to try different sizes of this top and kept it between the size small and medium. Among each category of sizing, I did not really notice any major differences between the shirts as far as any difference due to human error and the “1/2 tolerance”. Therefore, even the different tops of the same size didn’t really feel like they fit different. However, between the small and medium, I definitely felt the material fit more snug with the small. As shown above, the left top was a size small and shaped the waist in a more flattering way as it was more form fitting. As for the medium on the right, the material still shaped the waist but left more room for excess material/fabric to stick out on top of where the top would be tied.
